La Fête de la Musique is a one-day festival that takes place every year on June 21st, the summer solstice, throughout France. Phnom Penh is celebrating in style.
Buskers need no licenses and noise limitations are removed as musicians flock to venues, beaches, street corners and beyond. It’s a lovely occasion to unite a country under the harmony of (mainly) free music offerings.
Phnom Penh still retains a lot of French influence, culture and citizens, so it is unsurprising that the city will feature it’s own nod to the special date.
