The Cambodian International Film Festival (CIFF) held at Chaktomuk Conference Hall on 13 March 2020. The Kingdom & Global stories and films were premiered for a period of 10-days, from 13 to 22 March, taken place in Phnom Penh’s theaters. (10 venues, over 160 screenings, over 130 films).
The 10th CIFF presented 157 movies from 44 countries, dealing with different topics such as gender and women in the Asian film industry. 15% of these movies directed by Cambodian filmmakers, majority young Cambodian women.
CIFF is aimed at sensitizing audiences to the Art of cinema, promote innovative international film making in various forms and present quality productions made in and about Cambodia by national and international filmmakers.
HAB Touch, secretary of State and high representative of Phoeurng Sackona, Minister of the Ministry of Culture and Fine Arts said that the Ministry was pleased and proud by the increased number of Cambodian films with good quality.
