“Today for Tomorrow” of Color Wheel Group was selected the best animation during the 7th Cambodia DigiCon6, held at the National Television of Kampuchea (TVK)’s studio.
Minister of Information Khieu Kanharith and his spouse presided over the event and awarded the first winner with a cup and 1.6 million Riel (about US$400).
The winning group will represent Cambodia to compete in the DigiCon6 Asia to be organized by TBS Japan in Tokyo, Japan later this year.
Besides, four other pieces of Kidoza, Tep Rokhak, Manga Khmer, and Long Kimheng groups were also recognized by their popularity, image, idea, and content, respectively.
This year, 21 teams of 43 members, of them 21 girls, participated in the contest featuring three types of animations: Stop Motion, 2D, and 3D, an increase by 8 teams or 22 members compared to the previous year.
TVK has organized Cambodia DigiCon6 since 2014 under the theme “General, but with Social Education Content”.
