The Phnom Penh Autonomous Bus Transportation Authority, known as City Bus, is touting the benefits of the new e-bike service which has been launched at 11 bus stops in the capital.
City Bus administrator Eang Sok Khim told the source that there are a total of 75 e-bikes available and planning to further expand the service to 250 e-bikes in order to cover all bus stop area in the city.
The e-bike service will be charge at 160 riel ($0.04) per minute. Users able to place deposit into their account similarly to mobile phone credit. Thereafter book the bike through an app.
He highlighted the purpose of connecting the e-bikes with bus service by helping passengers reach their destinations safely and conveniently due to the bus stops had established as transportation hubs.
