Cambodia Airports on December 4, released photos of a relatively busy airport, which hasn’t been seen for a long time due to Covid-19 crisis.
According to Cambodia Airports, Phnom Penh International Airport has received some of the world’s largest airlines landing at the airport.
Notably, flights are beginning to show positive signs as the Royal Government of Cambodia opens its doors to foreign tourists who have already been fully vaccinated to help restore and boost Cambodia’s tourism and economy affected by the Covid-19 crisis.
Sin Chanserivutha, Spokesman for the Secretariat of State for Civil Aviation, said that with the improvement by allowing the launch of socio-economic activities in all sectors across the country so far, there are eight airlines which are scheduled to fly in.
Six have applied for resumption of flights and two have applied for additional flights. With this request, the number of flights will increase to 43 per week from December 2021 onwards.
