New Overpass Roundabout Highway
Overseas Cambodia Investment Corporation (OCIC) had released that the company will be constructing Chaom Chao roundabout overpass and subway which targeting to be completed by the end of 2020. The construction site was inaugurated on June 29 by Prime Minister Hun Sen, worth USD 22 million.
The Chaom Chao roundabout will be the link between Phnom Penh and National Roads 3 and 4, an import-export gateway for Cambodian goods to the international market. Besides, it serve the purpose of reducing daily traffic congestion issue.
OCIC spokesman Dy Vanndo said the construction work will start on 10th December after ended the meeting with local authorities and stakeholders in charge of underground networks. The project will be constructed into two-level subway with two lanes through a 13 metre-deep excavation.
