COVID PAPERS 'NOT NEEDED' UPON ENTRY TO KINGDOM 

Cambodia has apparently taken the final step towards full reopening of the country without Covid-19 restrictions by removing all requirements for inbound travellers, who at present had to show prrof of vaccination certificate.

“We have removed the requirement for all inbound travelers in all modes of transport: Land, sea and air. No longer require producing health certificates or showing proof of full vaccination upon arrival,” said Minister of Health Mam Bun Heng in October announcement.

TOYOTA PLANS TO STEP UP HYBRID VEHICLE IMPORTS 

Toyota Tsusho Manufacturing (Cambodia) Co Ltd plans to ramp up imports of hybrid vehicles (HV) into the Kingdom, as part of a campaign to encourage Cambodians to switch to eco-friendly transportation as alternative and reduce fossil fuel consumption and greenhouse gas emissions, according to transport ministry statement.

The plan was revealed during a meeting between Cambodia Toyota company CEO Ryoji Fujita and Minister of Public Works and Transport Sun Chanthol at the ministry this month. This comes just over a month after the firm received government approval to set up a vehicle assembly plant in the capital.

EXPRESSWAY TRIGGERS TOURIST INFLUX TO PREAH SIHANOUK FOR WEEKEND VISITS 

In the first nine days of the free month-long trial of Phnom Penh-Sihanoukville Expressway, more than 100,000 vehicles passed through, with officials recording a steady increase in the number of travellers to the coastal province.

In early October, Preah Sihanouk Provincial Administration had announced about 110,000 local and international tourists visited Sihanoukville over the weekend.
