FLATIRON CITADINES PHNOM PENH HOST 8 COUNTRIES SEA GAME VOLLEYBALL ATHLETE! 

Citadines Flatiron Phnom Penh recently hosted volleyball athletes from eight Southeast Asian countries for the SEA Games Indoor Volleyball Tournament, providing them with a memorable experience both on and off the court.

'SPECTACULAR' 32nd SEA GAMES OPENING CEREMONY DRAWS INTERNATIONAL PRAISE FOR CAMBODIA 

The opening ceremony of the “free” SEA Games 2023 in Phnom Penh earned praise from people from all walks of life, both locally and abroad, officials said, with the Kingdom having waited 64 years to host the spectacular regional sporting extravaganza. The biennial multi-sport event kicked off on May 5 to May 17. The 12th ASEAN Para Games, will run from June 3-9.

The opening was presided over by Prime Minister Hun Sen and his wife Bun Rany, Lao President Thongloun Sisoulith and rest of regional delegates.

CAMBODIA SHOWCASE A HIT IN JAPAN

The Cambodia embassy in Japan recently organised a festival to showcase the country’s rich culture and promote it as a tourism destination.

It took place on May 3 and 4, held at Yoyogi Park,Tokyo. Attended by over 50,000 participants.

“Cambodia Festival 2023” featured an exhibition of art, cultural items, agricultural products, Khmer handicrafts, souvenirs, and books. The aim of the exhibition was to market the Kingdom and attract investors and tourists to Cambodia. Let Japanese get to know Cambodia better, and encourage them to visit Cambodia, the Kingdom of Wonder.

1.4 BILLION DOLLAR PHNOM PENH-BAVET EXPRESSWAY DUE IN FOUR YEARS

The Government, through the Ministry of Public Works and Transport, has officially signed a public-private partnership agreement with a private company for the construction of Phnom Penh-Bavet Expressway project that will connect the capital to Svay Rieng province. Total budget for the project is estimated at USD 1.4 billion.

The signing ceremony was held on May 18, under the chairmanship of public works and transport minister Sun Chanthol and Zhou Yong, representative of China Road and Bridge Corporation (CRBC).
